Timaru Technology Education Centre

Hi There and welcome to the TTEC website. Hopefully you will find items of interest on our website whether you are a parent, teacher or student.

I am currently restructuring the website to hopefully make it more friendly and easier to find data.

Part of this process is the uploading of all our paperwork/units/planning etc onto our website for other teachers to use/review and feedback on. Hopefully this will be completed before the end of this term. Schools will have new student images uploaded as soon as possible.

As always we look forward to feedback on ways to improve/enhance our website or items you liked or disliked.

We would encourage you to explore our website.

TTEC History

Timaru Technology Education Centre is a purpose built Technology facility providing technology provision for 850+ year 7 and 8 students in the Timaru District. Currently we provide Technology Education to 15 client schools and also home-school students.

Building commenced in 2006 and

the centre was completed in 2007. Teaching commenced on February the 14th 2007.

TTEC is governed by the Bluestone School Board.

TTEC evolved due to the network review in the Timaru District in 2005. At that time year 7 and 8 Technology was provided by Watlington Intermediate School and Marchwiel School. With the closure of Watlington a new facility was required for the provision of Technology education for year 7 and 8 students.
