Welcome

Hi and welcome back for 2009. We are really looking forward to this years teaching and learning at TTEC. Units have been re-structured or in some instances are completely new. Within each unit there is a strong Design focus with tasks based around a Design Movement/School i.e. Bauhaus, De Stijl, Art Nouevau etc.

Teachers have also taken the opportunity to change rooms and teach in other areas which will offer students an increased learning experience.

During the next few weeks we will update all school pages with new images and also update the downloads of TTEC paperwork with new units and layout.

Hopefully you will find all the information you require about TTEC on this site, if not please contact us via the appropriate link.

Timaru Technology Education Centre is a new purpose built Technology facility providing technology provision for 850+ year 7 and 8 students in the Timaru District. Currently we provide Technology Education to 15 client schools and also home-school students.

Building commenced in 2006 and

the centre was completed in 2007, and teaching commenced on February the 14th 2007.

TTEC is governed by the Bluestone School board.

TTEC evolved due to the network review in the Timaru District in 2005. At that time year 7 and 8 Technology was provided by Watlington Intermediate School and Marchwiel School. With the closure of Watlington a new facility was required for the provision of Technology education for year 7 and 8 students.
